चीन करेगा 2021 एशियाई युवा खेलों की मेजबानी

• ओलंपिक परिषद ने घोषणा की है कि चीन 20-28 नवंबर, 2021 को शान्ताउ में एशियाई युवा खेलों के तीसरे संस्करण की मेजबानी करेगा।
• 2021 के एशियाई युवा खेलों में एथलेटिक्स, एक्वेटिक्स, बैडमिंटन, 3 × 3 बास्केटबॉल, बीच वॉलीबॉल, आदि सहित 18 खेल होंगे।
• एशियाई युवा खेल पहली बार 2011 में सिंगापुर में और फिर 2013 में चीन के नानजिंग में आयोजित किए गए थे।

• वेंटिलेटर सिस्टम एक कृत्रिम मैनुअल ब्रीदिंग यूनिट (AMBU) पर आधारित है, जिसे संस्थान द्वारा विकसित किया गया है।
• AMBU बैग एक हाथ से पकड़े जाने वाला उपकरण है जिसका उपयोग सांस लेने वाले रोगी को सकारात्मक दबाव वेंटिलेशन प्रदान करने के लिए किया जाता है।

बॉब वेटन, दुनिया के सबसे बुजुर्ग व्यक्ति

• एक ब्रिटिश पेंशनभोगी द्वारा अपना 112वां जन्मदिन मनाने के बाद दुनिया के सबसे बुजुर्ग व्यक्ति का ताज पहनाया गया है।
• 29 मार्च, 1908 को जन्मे रॉबर्ट वेटन को आधिकारिक रूप से गिनीज वर्ल्ड रिकॉर्ड्स (GWR) द्वारा नए शीर्षक धारक के रूप में पुष्टि की गई है।
• जापान से चित्तेसू वतनबे के 23 फरवरी, 2020 को निधन होने के बाद उन्होंने यह खिताब जीता।

चिकित्सा उपकरणों को ड्रग्स मन जायेगा

• केंद्र सरकार ने अधिसूचित किया है कि 1 अप्रैल, 2020 से देश में बेचे जाने वाले सभी चिकित्सा उपकरणों को ड्रग्स एंड कॉस्मेटिक्स अधिनियम के तहत दवाओं के रूप में माना जाएगा।
• सभी चिकित्सा उपकरणों को सरकार द्वारा गुणवत्ता नियंत्रण और मूल्य निगरानी के लिए दवाओं के रूप में विनियमित किया जाएगा।
• वर्तमान में, 24 चिकित्सा उपकरणों को ड्रग्स एंड कॉस्मेटिक्स अधिनियम के तहत विनियमित किया जाता है।

JNCASR ने एक कोटिंग विकसित की

• जवाहरलाल नेहरू सेंटर फॉर एडवांस्ड साइंटिफिक रिसर्च (JNCASR) ने वन स्टेप, चिकित्सा योग्य एंटी-माइक्रोबियल कोटिंग विकसित की है।
• इस कोटिंग को जब कपड़ा, प्लास्टिक जैसी विभिन्न सतहों पर लेपित किया जाता है तो यह COVID 19 सहित वायरस की श्रृंखला को मार सकता है।
• यह सहसंयोजक कोटिंग इन्फ्लूएंजा वायरस के साथ-साथ प्रतिरोधी रोगजनक बैक्टीरिया और कवक को पूरी तरह से मारती है।

नेवल डॉकयार्ड ने एक तापमान सेंसर डिजाइन किया

• मुंबई में नौसेना डॉकयार्ड ने कोरोनावायरस के प्रकोप के चलते, अपने कर्मियों की स्क्रीनिंग के लिए कम लागत वाले तापमान संवेदक विकसित किए हैं।

फोनपे द्वारा ‘कोरोना केयर’ नीति लॉन्च

• फोनपे ने “कोरोना केयर” नामक एक अद्वितीय कोरोनोवायरस हॉस्पिटलाइज़ेशन बीमा पॉलिसी शुरू करने की घोषणा की है।
• इसके लिए उसने बजाज आलियांज जनरल इंश्योरेंस के साथ साझेदारी की है।
• इस कोरोनावायरस बीमा पॉलिसी की कीमत 156 रुपये है, जिसमें 55 वर्ष से कम आयु के व्यक्ति के लिए 50,000 रुपये का बीमा कवर है और यह कवर किसी भी अस्पताल में कोरोनावायरस उपचार पर लागू है।

नौसेना डॉकयार्ड निर्मित ऑक्सीजन मैनिफोल्ड

• विशाखापत्तनम में नौसेना डॉकयार्ड के कार्मिकों ने एक अभिनव ‘पोर्टेबल मल्टी-फीड ऑक्सीजन मैनिफोल्ड (एमओएम)’ डिजाइन किया है।
• इसे एकल सिलेंडर में लगे छह-तरफ़ा रेडियल हेडर का उपयोग करके तैयार किया गया है।
• यह नवाचार, एक ऑक्सीजन की बोतल को 6 रोगियों को सुचारू रूप से आपूर्ति करने में सक्षम करेगा, जिससे मौजूदा सीमित संसाधनों के साथ बड़ी संख्या में रोगियों के लिए महत्वपूर्ण देखभाल प्रबंधन हो सकेगा।

SBI ने भारत INX पर $100 मिलियन ग्रीन बॉन्ड सूचीबद्ध किए

• SBI ने अपने ऋण सूची मंच पर 100 मिलियन अमरीकी डालर (लगभग 750 करोड़ रुपये) के हरे बांड सूचीबद्ध किए हैं।
• बैंक ने INX के ग्लोबल सिक्योरिटीज मार्केट ग्रीन प्लेटफॉर्म (GSM) पर अपने यूएसडी 10 बिलियन ग्लोबल मीडियम टर्म नोट कार्यक्रम के तहत 100 मिलियन अमरीकी डालर के हरे बांड सूचीबद्ध किए हैं।
• भारतीय स्टेट बैंक (SBI) ने इससे पहले भारत INX पर 650 मिलियन अमरीकी डालर के अपने पहले हरे बांड सूचीबद्ध किए थे।

NBT इंडिया ने ऑन-लाइन प्रश्नावली जारी की

• नेशनल बुक ट्रस्ट ने COVID -19 के मनोवैज्ञानिक-सामाजिक प्रभाव के बारे में सामुदायिक धारणा का आकलन करने के लिए ऑन-लाइन प्रश्नावली जारी की है।
• 7 खंडों के हिंदी-अंग्रेजी में सेट किए गए प्रश्नावली का उद्देश्य COVID-19 के मनो-सामाजिक प्रभाव और लॉकडाउन और उसके निपटान का मूल्यांकन करना है।
• इसका उद्देश्य लॉकडाउन अवधि में सामुदायिक भागीदारी और भावनाओं को साझा करने के लिए अनुकूल वातावरण बनाना है।

गुरबानी के उस्ताद निर्मल सिंह खालसा का निधन

• सिख गुरबानी भजनों के विख्यात गायक, निर्मल सिंह खालसा का अप्रैल 2020 में अमृतसर में नए कोरोनावायरस से निधन हो गया।
• यह अमृतसर में Covid-19 के कारण पहली और राज्य में पांचवीं मौत है।
• वह अमृतसर के स्वर्ण मंदिर में पूर्व हजूरी रागी थे।
• गुरबानी संगीत में उनके योगदान के लिए निर्मल सिंह खालसा को 2009 में पद्मश्री मिला।
• वह 1 अप्रैल 2020 को पॉजिटिव पाए गए थे।

अप्रैल में प्रत्येक जानवर के लिए प्रतिदिन 25रु: गुजरात

• गुजरात सरकार ने राज्य में सभी पंजीकृत गौ शालाओं के लिए अप्रैल 2020 के लिए प्रत्येक पशु के लिए 25 रुपये प्रति दिन की वित्तीय सहायता की घोषणा की है।
• मुख्यमंत्री विजय रूपानी ने पशु लाइव स्टॉक को बचाने और पंजीकृत गौ शालाओं के प्रशासकों द्वारा सामना किए जा रहे वित्तीय संकटों का ख्याल रखने के लिए यह घोषणा की।
• इस फैसले से सरकारी खजाने पर लगभग 35 करोड़ रुपये का अतिरिक्त बोझ पड़ेगा।

रिक्शा चालकों को 5,000 रुपये की सहायता

• लॉकडाउन स्थितियों के बीच आने वाली कठिनाइयों के मद्देनजर दिल्ली सरकार सभी ऑटो-रिक्शा, ग्रामीण-सेवा, ई-रिक्शा और टैक्सी चालकों को प्रत्येक को 5,000 रुपये की वित्तीय सहायता प्रदान करेगी।
• राशि उनके बैंक खाते में स्थानांतरित की जाएगी।
• यह बात दिल्ली के मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल ने 2 अप्रैल 2020 को राष्ट्रीय राजधानी में एक डिजिटल प्रेस कॉन्फ्रेंस के दौरान कही।

टोनी लुईस का निधन हो गया

• बांग्लादेश सरकार देश में फैले कोरोनावायरस के प्रबंधन के लिए आर्टिफिशियल इंटेलिजेंस (AI) का उपयोग करेगी।
• AI-संचालित अंतर्दृष्टि सरकार को कोरोनावायरस से लड़ने के लिए अपनी अगली कार्रवाई स्थापित करने में मदद करेगी।
• प्रधानमंत्री शेख हसीना ने आदेश दिया है कि देश में कोरोना के प्रसार की एक बेहतर तस्वीर प्राप्त करने के लिए प्रत्येक उपज़िला से कम से कम 2 नमूनों का परीक्षण 3 अप्रैल ’20 से किया जा सकता है।

China to host 2021 Asian Youth Games

• The Olympic Council of Asia has announced that China will host the third edition of the Asian Youth Games in Shantou from November 20-28, 2021.
• The 2021 Asian Youth Games will have 18 sports including athletics, aquatics, badminton, 3×3 basketball, beach volleyball, etc.
• The Asian Youth Games were first held in Singapore in 2011 and then in Nanjing in China in 2013.

SCTIMST tied up with Wipro 3D

• Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology has joined hands with Wipro 3D to build a prototype of an emergency ventilator system.
• The ventilator system is going to be based on an artificial manual breathing unit (AMBU), developed by the institute. 
• AMBU bag is a hand-held device used to provide positive pressure ventilation to a patient who is not breathing.

Bob Weighton confirmed as world’s oldest man

• A British pensioner has just been the crowned the world’s oldest man after he celebrated his 112th birthday.
• Born on March 29, 1908, Robert Weighton has officially been confirmed as the new title holder by Guinness World Records (GWR). 
• He won the title after Chitetsu Watanabe, from Japan, passed away on February 23, 2020.
• Born on March 5, 1907, he was 112 years and 355 days old.

Medical devices to be treated as Drugs

• The central government has notified that all medical devices sold in the country will be treated as drugs under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act with effect from April 1, 2020.
• All medical devices will be regulated by the government as drugs for quality control and price monitoring.
• Currently, 24 medical devices are regulated under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act.

JNCASR developed a coating

• Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR) has developed a one-step curable anti-microbial coating.
• The coating, when coated on different surfaces such as textile, plastic and so on could kill a range of virus types including COVID 19.
• This covalent coating has been found to completely kill influenza virus as well as resistant pathogenic bacteria and fungi.

• Indigram Labs Foundation has announced the winners of its smart village program – ‘Adhunik Gram’, an initiative to empower agribusiness in rural India.
• The winner, IndusTill FarmeTech Pvt. Ltd., won a cash prize of Rs 1 Lakh.
• The 1st runner up, Urdhvam Environmental Technologies Pvt. Ltd., won Rs. 50,000 and the 2nd runner up, Impagro farming solutions Pvt. Ltd. won Rs. 30,000.

Freightwalla launched an app

• Digital freight forwarding startup Freightwalla recently launched their Android application on the Google Play store.
• The app makes it possible for logistics managers and business owners to plan, manage and track their shipments right on their mobile screens.
• The user can now get all his shipment-related information 24×7, whether he is in his office or on the field.

Naval Dockyard designed a temperature sensor

• The Naval Dockyard in Mumbai has developed a low-cost handheld temperature sensor to screen its personnel in light of the coronavirus outbreak.
• As many as 20,000 personnel enter the 285-year-old naval dock and Western Naval Command in South Mumbai every day.
• The infrared-technology-based sensor is manufactured using in-house resources under Rs 1,000.

Singer Adam Schlesinger passed away

• Emmy winner Adam Schlesinger, best known as the co-founder of the 2000s pop-rock band ‘Fountains of Wayne’, has succumbed to coronavirus complications.
• He is also known for co-writing the band’s 2003 hit ‘Stacy’s Mom’.
• Schlesinger also worked as an executive music producer on the musical show at The CW ‘Crazy Ex-Girlfriend’ and composed songs for ‘A Colbert Christmas’, etc.

PhonePe launched ‘Corona Care’ policy

• PhonePe has announced the launch of a unique coronavirus hospitalisation insurance policy called “Corona Care.”
• For this, it has partnered with Bajaj Allianz General Insurance.
• This coronavirus insurance policy is priced at Rs 156 with an insurance cover of Rs 50,000 for a person aged under 55 years and the cover is applicable at any hospital offering coronavirus treatment. 

Naval dockyard manufactured oxygen manifold

• Personnel from Naval Dockyard in Visakhapatnam have designed an innovative ‘Portable Multi-feed Oxygen Manifold (MOM)’.
• It has been designed using a six-way radial header fitted to a single cylinder.
• This innovation would enable one oxygen bottle to supply 6 patients concurrently thus enabling critical care management to a larger number of patients with the existing limited resources.

SBI listed $100 mn green bonds on India INX

• SBI has listed green bonds of USD 100 million (about Rs 750 crore) on its debt listing platform.
• The bank has listed green bonds of USD 100 million under its USD 10 billion global medium term note programme on India INX’s Global Securities Market Green Platform (GSM).
• The State Bank of India (SBI) has earlier also listed its maiden green bond issuance on India INX of USD 650 million.

NBT India released On-line Questionnaire

• National Book Trust has released On-line Questionnaire to Assess Community Perception about the Psycho-Social Impact of COVID-19.
• The Questionnaires set in Hindi-English of 7 segments aims at assessing Psycho-Social Impact of COVID-19 and the Lockdown and How to Cope.
• It is intended to create a conducive environment for community participation and sharing of emotions in the lockdown period.

Gurbani maestro Nirmal Singh Khalsa died

• Nirmal Singh Khalsa, a noted singer of Sikh Gurbani hymns, died of the novel coronavirus in Amritsar in April 2020.
• It is the first death due to Covid-19 in Amritsar and the fifth death in the state.
• He was the former Hazoori Raagi at the Golden Temple in Amritsar.
• Nirmal Singh Khalsa received the Padma Shri in 2009 for his contribution to Gurbani music.
• He was found positive on 1 Apr ’20.

Rs 25/day for each animal for April: Gujarat

• Gujarat govt has announced financial assistance of Rs 25 per day for each animal for April 2020 for all registered Gau Shalas in the state.
• CM Vijay Rupani announced this to save the animal live stocks and taking care of financial crunches being faced by the administrators of registered Gau Shalas.
• The decision will put additional burden of approximately Rs 35 crore on state exchequer.

Assistance worth Rs 5,000 to rickshaw drivers

• Delhi govt will provide financial assistance worth Rs 5,000 each to all auto-rickshaw, Gramin-sewa, E-rickshaw and taxi drivers in wake of difficulties faced by them amid lockdown situations.
• The amount will be transferred into their bank account.
• This was stated by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal during a digital press conference in the national capital on 2 April 2020.

Tony Lewis passed away

• Tony Lewis, one of the men behind the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern method used in weather-affected limited overs cricket matches passed away in April 2020.
• Tony, alongside fellow mathematician Frank Duckworth, devised the Duckworth-Lewis method.
• It was introduced in 1997 and adopted officially by the ICC (International Cricket Council) in 1999.

Bangladesh to use AI for Corona management

• The government of Bangladesh will utilize Artificial Intelligence (AI) for the management of Coronavirus spread in the country.
• The AI-powered insights will help the government to set its next course of action to fight Coronavirus.
• PM Sheikh Hasina has ordered that at least 2 samples from each Upzila may be tested from 3 Apr ’20 to get a better picture of the spread of Corona in the country.
